Love in the Air: Things I’m Loving This Valentine’s Season

Interiors
Not to be confused with Barbie or bubblegum, the pink I’m loving right now is warm, sophisticated, and effortlessly chic. During a recent trip to London, I fell in love with Jonquil by Edward Bulmer Natural Paint. I spotted this stunning hue in a beautifully layered living room, accented with rich textures, art, and antiques. I’ve also used Setting Plaster by Farrow & Ball in my design projects. It’s an equally gorgeous shade that exudes understated elegance.

I’ve been a longtime admirer of Silvia Tcherassi, a Colombian designer whose vibrant, playful, yet sophisticated designs never fail to impress. I discovered her gorgeous dresses years ago during one of my summers in Miami. She opened a small boutique in CocoWalk, and her designs have been a favorite ever since.
Makeup
Thanks to my daughters, I was introduced to Summer Fridays, a California-based skincare and makeup brand. They both requested the brand’s Lip Butter Balm for Christmas, and now I’m obsessed! The pink sugar shade is my go-to—it’s hydrating, lightly tinted, and gives the perfect kiss of color.
Entertainment
Movie: Return to Me
I recently rewatched this 2000 classic (how has it been 25 years already?) with my dad, and it was just as heartwarming as I remembered. It’s a beautifully tender rom-com about love, loss, and second chances—perfect for a cozy Valentine’s movie night.

Few songs capture the joy of love quite like this one. It’s timeless, feel-good, and always puts me in a good mood!
Valentine’s Treats
No Valentine’s celebration is complete without flowers and chocolate! While nothing quite compares to receiving roses on February 14th, I’ll happily take pink peonies any day of the year. As for chocolates, Louis Sherry is my absolute favorite—their packaging alone is a work of art!
And of course, what’s Valentine’s Day without a dreamy dinner at a cozy, romantic restaurant? If you’re in Dallas, I recommend dinner at Georgie along with one of their signature cocktails.
