Welcoming December
It’s December! The holidays are a most special time for all of us here at Dunbar Road, and as I look ahead this month, and I’m excited for all that’s in store - both literally and figuratively! Dunbar Road Boutique features some of my favorite items for the holidays and beyond. As you’re decorating your home, shopping for someone special and preparing to celebrate with family and friends, we have beautiful and unique pieces for you to discover both in store and online. So take a moment away from the hustle and bustle, and follow along as I highlight my top picks of the season.
At Dunbar Road, we start planning for the holidays long before the leaves change, and naturally, we start with decor. Our day to day work involves working with our clients to create beautifully layered and thoughtfully appointed spaces, and we like our holiday decor to reflect that same sensibility. We launched our signature wreaths and garland a few years ago to blend seamlessly in our clients’ homes. We now offer it online and in store for anyone who loves their Christmas decor to compliment their living space. You’ll find the Palm Beach collection, which features lemons, limes and boxwood, reminiscent of the Florida sunshine. The Charleston wreath celebrates one of our favorite Southern cities and features magnolia blooms and ruby red berries. Our Telluride wreath and garland exude cozy Christmas vibes with warm red and brown checked ribbon that would be right at home on the ranch or in the mountains. And the Oxford and Valencia collections are our nod to English decor complete with fruits and luxurious ribbons.
Once I’ve decorated for the holidays, shopping for gifts is in full swing. This season we have some exquisite jewelry in the boutique. The gold butterfly earrings are absolutely beautiful and would make a stunning gift. We also have a unique, round shaped Miraculous Medal necklace that I love. You’ll also find special pieces by Asha and Sazingg. These earrings are incredible! Do you know someone who loves to play Mahjong? We have a complete set that comes in a beautiful -and practical!- case in either pink or blue as well as some cute game accessories like a tile case and game table mat.
The decorating is done, the shopping list is checked off - let the gatherings and festivities begin! We have some fantastic hostess gifts at reasonable price points. You’ll find monogrammed tea towels in several colors, French matchstick strikers, cocktail napkins, and festive candles from B's Knees.
If you’re in the Dallas area, I invite you to come visit and browse our full in-store offerings. We’d love to offer you a glass of bubbly while you finish your holiday list! Otherwise, put on your favorite tunes (the Michael Biuble Christmas album is my go-to), light a scented candle (I have Bees Knees candle burning all month long) and browse our shop from the comfort of your home.
